BONAWATT to polski producent urządzeń audio High-End, specjalizujący się we wzmacniaczach lampowych, hybrydowych i zaawansowanej elektronice analogowej. Nasze urządzenia projektujemy i budujemy w Polsce, łącząc charakter klasycznego analogowego audio z możliwościami współczesnej inżynierii.

Każde urządzenie lampowe BONAWATT powstaje jako kompletna, autorska konstrukcja. Projektujemy tor audio, układy zasilania i sterowania, płytki PCB, oprogramowanie, mechanikę oraz wzornictwo przemysłowe sami. Rozwijamy również własne rozwiązania technologiczne, takie jak Parabolic Power Bias™ czy modułowy system BAX™, zamiast ograniczać się do powielania znanych schematów.

We believe technology should serve the music and the listener, not the other way around. That is why we preserve the tube and analogue character of the signal path wherever it shapes the sound, while using modern digital electronics for control, automation, protection and expanded functionality.

OUR STORY

2026 - New headquarters, a new beginning

In 2026, the sole proprietorship Krzysztof Lewandowski Bonawatt is undergoing significant organizational changes. BONAWATT sp. z o.o. (LLC) is established, and the company moves its operations to a new 200 square meter facility, creating a professional, modern, fully equipped and computerised production and design environment. The new facility provides the space needed to further develop our own designs and expand production capabilities. At the same time, BONAWATT begins preparations to implement a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001.

2025 - High End Munich, a Milestone Moment

In 2025, BONAWATT presented its designs for the first time at the prestigious High End Munich show, one of the world’s most important events in the audio industry. The brand showcased the TRITON hybrid amplifier together with the innovative BAX™ modular expansion card system, allowing the functionality of the amplifier to evolve with the user’s needs.

Participation in this event marked an important milestone in BONAWATT’s development and introduced the brand to the international market. It also led to the establishment of significant B2B partnerships around the world.

2023 - The founding of Bonawatt

In 2023, M.Sc. Krzysztof Lewandowski decided to close an important chapter of his professional career as a designer of production lines and industrial machinery, dedicating himself fully to the design and development of audio equipment.

That same year, the BONAWATT brand was established. Its first headquarters was a small rented basement, which became the starting point for the development of the brand’s first new designs.

Later that year, the BONAWATT Tamesis amplifier made its debut at the Audio Video Show in Warsaw, where it received a very positive response.

2009 - First tube amplifier

In 2009, while still a student, Krzysztof Lewandowski designed and built his first tube amplifier. What began as an amateur project soon became the starting point of a long-term fascination with tube technology and audio design.

Over the following years, this passion developed alongside his studies of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, where he earned a Master of Science in Engineering degree.

Today, that early fascination forms part of the engineering foundation behind BONAWATT, built on nearly twenty years of hands-on experience in designing tube audio equipment.
