When designing BONAWATT amplifiers, we consider both the electronics and the conditions in which they operate. Our devices can therefore be fitted with OEM IsoAcoustics isolation feet, developed for equipment manufacturers and not available at retail. This allows us to tailor the solution to our designs. We address vibration control from the outset, alongside the electronics and chassis, so mechanical isolation is an integral part of the finished amplifier.
Vibrations transmitted through the supporting surface can reach the chassis and its components. This is particularly relevant in tube audio circuits, where vibration can cause microphonics: the generation of an unwanted electrical signal. IsoAcoustics feet reduce vibration transfer between the amplifier and the surface beneath it. Their purpose is to reduce mechanical interference that can affect music reproduction.
BONAWATT's collaboration with IsoAcoustics on OEM solutions allows us to tailor mechanical isolation to each device. This matters because an isolator's effectiveness depends, among other factors, on its load and how the equipment is supported. Vibration isolation is part of the factory-fitted equipment in our Polish-made tube and hybrid amplifiers. The user receives a device with appropriately matched supports, without needing to assemble a separate set of aftermarket feet.
