High Fidelity Best Sound Award - Audio Video Show 2025
One of our highlights at Audio Video Show 2025 was the BEST SOUND award for the system in BONAWATT's main room, where we demonstrated OePhi loudspeakers. The award was presented by Wojciech Pacuła of High Fidelity. Our demonstration was selected among the best-sounding systems at the show, with the editor-in-chief describing its sound as exceptionally mature and rich. Link: High Fidelity show report.
At the heart of the system was the BONAWATT Triton hybrid integrated amplifier, driving Danish OePhi Transcendence 2.5 loudspeakers. A Lampizator Genya Plus tube DAC served as the digital source, while a turntable from Polish manufacturer BennyAudio completed the analogue setup. OePhi cables connected the entire system.
This distinction is especially valuable to us because it recognises the complete system and its performance under real exhibition conditions, with Triton at its centre.
We see the BEST SOUND award at Audio Video Show 2025 as more than the success of a single demonstration. It also confirms that our approach to BONAWATT hybrid electronics works in demanding systems and stands up to direct comparison with the finest demonstrations at one of Europe's largest audio exhibitions.
For BONAWATT, the show was also an important validation of our design direction. Triton was not part of a randomly assembled demonstration system. It was paired with components sharing a similar approach to sound: naturalness, tonal richness and musicality without sacrificing control or resolution.
The Danish OePhi loudspeakers made full use of Triton's substantial power reserves and dynamic capabilities, while the Lampizator tube DAC provided a digital source whose character complemented the overall presentation. This allowed us to demonstrate the amplifier as part of a complete high-end audio system.
