The MBBL 1S expansion card is a balanced XLR input for the BAX™ system, designed for users who want to take full advantage of a high quality analogue source and a BONAWATT amplifier or line preamplifier. The balanced XLR connection helps reduce the influence of induced interference while preserving the finest information contained in the analogue signal, from subtle decays to the full dynamic range of the recording.
The result is a cleaner background, greater freedom, a more precisely defined soundstage and more natural instrument separation.
MBBL 1S is particularly effective at revealing microdynamics and subtle differences in tonal character, while maintaining the sweet and elegant character of analogue sound.
The sound quality is supported by a carefully developed balanced PCB design with controlled capacitance, gold plated copper surfaces, low loss FKP film capacitors, precision MELF resistors, as well as hand assembly and inspection. The card was developed in cooperation with MuzgAUDIO as a reference solution for introducing an XLR signal into compatible BONAWATT devices.
MBBL 1S is compatible with the Triton hybrid amplifier, Bythos hybrid amplifier and Proteus line preamplifier, among others.The balanced XLR input occupies one slot in your BAX™ compatible device.
