Stereo power amplifier featuring BONAWATT’s proprietary low noise input stage based on 16 JFET amplifiers operating in parallel.
With 2 × 500 W RMS at 4 Ω and 2 × 250 W RMS at 8 Ω, Pallas delivers high dynamics and precise control over demanding loudspeakers.
Pallas features RCA and balanced XLR inputs, as well as an electronic VU meter with an on and off function. Its fully solid state design, three point IsoAcoustics support and new chassis with chamfered corners combine substantial power and precise bass control with a smooth, relaxed character in the upper frequencies.

Pallas Titanium - Balanced XLR Stereo Power Amplifier

Product description  ( premiera: Audio Video Show 2026 Warszawa

BONAWATT Pallas is a high end stereo power amplifier designed for systems that require substantial current reserves, exceptionally low noise and the subtlety normally associated with far more elaborate analogue designs.

Pallas delivers 2 × 500 W RMS of continuous output power at 4 Ω and 2 × 250 W RMS at 8 Ω, allowing it to work effortlessly with both conventional Hi Fi loudspeakers and large loudspeakers with demanding impedance characteristics. The high performance output stage provides a very high damping factor and low output impedance, resulting in precise bass control and accurate control of loudspeaker driver movement.

Power alone, however, was not the primary goal of this design.

Ahead of the main power stage, BONAWATT’s proprietary ultra low noise analogue front end uses 16 parallel JFET operational stages. Instead of entrusting the entire signal to a single integrated circuit, the signal is distributed across multiple identical stages operating in parallel.

This approach helps reduce intrinsic noise and improves the ability of the input stage to drive subsequent sections of the circuit. The concept of using multiple precision analogue elements in parallel has previously appeared in some of the most ambitious Japanese audio designs.

In the BONAWATT Pallas power amplifier, we have applied this principle in our own circuit architecture, primarily to reduce noise and create an exceptionally clean analogue interface for the high performance digital power amplifier stage.

The result is not a presentation focused solely on speed and power. Pallas has been tuned to preserve delicacy, smoothness, sweetness and spatial freedom, while maintaining the energy reserves required to control demanding loudspeaker systems.

The power amplifier features an unbalanced RCA input and a balanced XLR input. It can therefore work with virtually any preamplifier, although it was designed from the outset in parallel with the Proteus line preamplifier. The recommended Proteus + Pallas separate component system forms a complete stereo system with a shared architecture, control philosophy and visual language.

Pallas deliberately does not use vacuum tubes or the BAX™ system. The power amplifier has one task: to amplify the incoming signal as cleanly and consistently as possible, without compromising dynamics. The absence of unnecessary functions allows the signal path to remain concise while dedicating the available internal space to the input stage, power supply and high current output section.

The front panel features BONAWATT’s distinctive TFT display with an optional electronic VU meter. The VU meter can be activated during listening or switched off completely. When disabled, the geometric front panel remains almost entirely clean, as there is no volume control or other adjustment knob.

The new chassis with strongly chamfered corners introduces a fresher, more architectural design language to the BONAWATT range. Like the Bythos hybrid amplifier and Proteus tube preamplifier, Pallas uses three IsoAcoustics vibration isolators as standard equipment, replacing the conventional spikes used in the larger Triton and Tamesis Mk2 amplifiers.
